Community Service, Public Safety, Infrastructure, Fiscal Strength

Our most compassionate concern is creating and delivering COMMUNITY SERVICES to all,

the greatest issue is to  KEEP US SAFE AND SECURE, the greatest problem is INFRASTRUCTURE and maintaining/supporting great roads, sewers and culverts, parks, and traffic control and our greatest challenge IS TO REMAIN FISCALLY STRONG as we keep our community safe, our beautiful parks clean and updated, and our streets improved with both construction and traffic-control technology updates.

Community Service

We are La Habra, the CITY THAT CARES! We must expand our caring arms further. We can become the city of positive civic infrastructure where all needs are addressed in a positive, fiscally sound manner. We can seek increases in financial support for our seniors. We can expand our homeless care to include even more options for mental care, health care, shelter, and nutrition. We have a unique opportunity to truly create a civic infrastructure around our young people. Our families support our youth, but the city can do more. We are uniquely gifted with many schools, from Pre-K through high school, and beyond with online opportunities. Our caring community can strengthen the education to career pathway, giving our youth amazing opportunities to discover what inspires them. Work is never work when it is fun … and extending La Habra’s “Caring Arms,” will be a win-win for all as our youth see HOPE for their Future!

Public Safety

Thankfully NOT in La Habra, but elsewhere in our state and in our country, local public safety agencies, such as police, fire, ambulance services, and more, have been negatively targeted. Keeping us La Habrans positive about public safety is paramount for our citizens and I want to strengthen and preserve our Public Safety.

Our Peace Officers started years ago community policing and under the leadership of Chief Foster, this continues today. Our Fire Department is contracted through LA County and has served our community well, as has the ambulance services utilized. We also have begun a good connection with neighboring cities to help address the homeless population needs and yet more help is required as we all struggle with the ever-increasing inflation and covid-aftermath issues. We are blessed with many great schools in our city and we must continue to support them as they benefit our students, our future. When you think of all of these blessings we have in our wonderful city, it is easy to understand how continued support for public safety is the number one issue.

Infrastructure

Safe, clean, streets supported with strong sewers and culverts,  as well as great traffic control efforts, should be the focus of improving our city’s infrastructure. There is a direct connection between a city’s safe, secure infrastructure and a healthy business atmosphere. We in La Habra are amazing, but the challenge is to grow and maintain while keeping the “small-town” atmosphere we love!
