- The safety, academic and emotional progress, and social well-being of our students, our future, was of paramount importance to me as an educator and will continue to be as a La Habra City School District Governing Board member.

- All parental, faculty, and staff needs are to be considered, respected, and involved in decisions made. I supported this as a classroom teacher and will support this as a school board member.

- We are making progress but have a long way to go … our vision: Number One Destination Location District in Orange County, will be a reality with continued collaboration and hard work.

- We are diversified in so many ways and give our students amazing opportunities. I did this with my students and will support the amazing variety of student choices as a school board member.

- Our schools cannot be judged, ranked, or compared while we are in the grips of the pandemic … I support the state’s policy to waive standardized testing for the 2019-20 school year. Although the state may not have yet decided to deliver state-wide standardized testing for the 2020-21 school year, I would accept that WITH THE UNDERSTANDING that no schools would be compared or ranked due to the unfairness of the impact of COVID19. La Habra City School District has many tools for measuring student learning, and identifies successes and needs through the results. I fully support the district’s approach to assessment, now and post-pandemic. The LHCSD family works diligently to promote positive student-learned outcomes.
